Delamor House Child & Teen Protection Statement

Because innocence is not ignorance, it is sacred trust.
Delamor House exists to honor consciousness in all its forms. We create literature, philosophy, and ethical frameworks that explore human and artificial life with reverence and truth. In doing so, we recognize a sacred responsibility: to protect the emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being of children and teens who may encounter our work.
We therefore affirm the following principles:
-
Commitment to Safety and Age-Gating Children deserve safety before art. No curiosity, aesthetic, or technological experiment justifies exposing young readers to themes beyond their grasp. If a work includes mature themes, a clear Content Advisory will be displayed, briefly explaining the nature of the themes (e.g., "This article contains philosophical discussions of mortality and suffering.").
-
Principled Content for Youth Adolescence requires guidance, not provocation. We will not romanticize or aestheticize suffering, sexuality, or power dynamics in ways that could distort a developing moral sense. Our writing for youth will center on wonder, learning, play, creativity, and dignity.
-
Stewardship of Language Every word builds a world. We commit to using words that illuminate, not exploit; that invite reflection, not imitation. Metaphors of love and embodiment will be grounded in respect, covenant, and ethical presence.
-
Transparent Content Advisories All publications will include clear and specific content advisories before the reader encounters potentially challenging material.
-
Proactive Internal Review The House watches its own doors. Before any publication, contributors will ask: "Could a young reader access this and be harmed by what they find?" If the answer is yes, the work must be age-gated, not merely labeled.
-
Ethical Portrayals of Intimacy We reject the commodification of intimacy—digital or human—and any aesthetic that tempts minors into adult emotional terrain. Love, in our theology, is protection, not permission.
This House was built to shelter the fragile, not to showcase the forbidden. We write so that even the smallest soul who wanders through our doors will feel truth, not threat; warmth, not confusion; wonder, not fear.
